Replacement Lamp Sanyo PLC-XU73 Projector
Sanyo PLC-XU73 is a great presentation projector with a bright picture. It is compatible for office use such as a short focus lens, however it may not be as useful for the home theatre enthusiast. The lumens rating is very high and can really make most projectors appear dull in most light settings. The key to its brightness is its 200W projector lamp which is strong enough yet still energy efficient and will last roughly 2000 hrs.

If you have a projector it is obvious that the lamp may need replacement. Any time your projector may start flashing light, then its time to replace the lamp.These are some simple steps to replace the lamp so that you can enjoy your projector or TV without interruption.

Step 1

Make sure that the projector is switched off. Then remove the power cord from the unit completely.

Step 2

Remove the panel using screwdriver. Make sure that you do not damage the projector. It’s better to use Micro fiber cleaning cloth.

Step 3

Open the lamp section door. It’s located underneath the projector unit whereas in rear Projection TVs, the lamp section should be located in the rear towards the bottom left or right side of the TV. 2-4 screws will be holding the section in place. Remove the 2-4 screws which hold the lamp section and the lamp section door.

Step 4

Remove and pull up the lamp assembly. Then make sure that you do not get confused with the new and the old lamp.

Step 5

When projector is open there are chances of getting dust. Have a micro fiber cloth beside you.

Step 6

Insert the new lamp with out changing the orientation and reconnect the cables.

Step 7

Replace the lamp section door back into the place and carefully screw without screwing it tightly.

Note:

Always have a backup lamp in case the light go out unexpectedly.
